Realizing the need for responsible building and quality craftsmanship, we now offer construction services for most of the projects we design. Operating under the name K | A Craftsmen, LLC, Charles Kraus and Bob Azevedo, our Supervisor/Craftsman, will see the project through to completion and assure the care taken in the design phases is carried through to the completed project. K | A Craftsmen, LLC is licensed and fully insured.
Charles E. Kraus, Principal
Charles Kraus formed Kraus | Architects in 1998 after working as a project manager with Sheskey Architects for 6 years. Charles has a strong background in construction, which gives him a keen understanding of how the process works, and aids in the creation of “buildable” architecture.

Dawn Kahle Shoneman, Project Architect
Dawn Kahle Shoneman began her career at Sheskey Architects where she worked as Job Captain on multi-family and senior housing projects. Dawn went on to join Architectural Resources Cambridge, where she became a licensed architect, and was a project manager for 7 years prior to joining Kraus | Architects.
